Greg Hahn Receives Fraternal Order of Police Endorsement

Greg Hahn, candidate for Wake County School Board District 2, received the Fraternal Order of Police Wake County Lodge #41’s endorsement on September 7, 2020.

“I’m honored to receive this endorsement,” Hahn said. “School Safety is my number one priority, and our children’s safety starts at the local level. Our children need and deserve our protection. Wake County Public School’s SRO program reflects our community’s desire to protect our schools, keeping them safe, secure and orderly.”

Wake County School Board Policy promises students, families, and all staff a safe and orderly working environment.

Rose Beane, President of the Fraternal Order of Police Wake County Lodge #41, considered Greg Hahn’s platform on education, and that they were aligned with the Fraternal Order of Police’s philosophy. It is also the first time that the Fraternal Order of Police have endorsed a school board candidate.

Greg Hahn is a decorated Navy veteran who served his country in Washington D.C. His service included being an elite member of the Presidential Ceremonial Honor Guard and a member of the Crisis Action Team during the Kosovo conflict while working for the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Pentagon. Greg is a single father of four boys–all who have gone through the public school system. His oldest graduated from Hunt High School and his second oldest graduated from Fuquay-Varina High School. He has two boys attending FVHS.

The election will be held on November 3, 2020.
